General Information

Located in Belek, Antalya, the Sueno Dunes Golf Course opened in 2007 as part of the prestigious Sueno Hotels golf complex. Designed by the highly acclaimed international golf course design firm PGA Design Consulting, this parkland layout is uniquely modified with distinct links-style characteristics. The course is beautifully carved through a natural landscape of mature umbrella pines and sand dunes, sweeping across the rolling coastal terrain.

The Dunes Course is celebrated for its spectacular island green finish right in front of the hotel terrace, offering a dramatic climax to every round. While it is shorter than its sister layout, the Pines Course, it relies on clever tactical routing, tighter fairways, and punishing natural sand hazards to test a golfer's strategic thinking rather than raw distance.

Key Features of the Course

1. Strategic Parkland Layout with Links Elements

  • The Dunes Course combines traditional pine-lined parkland fairways with rugged links-style sand ridges. This hybrid design creates unique optical illusions from the tee box, requiring accurate club selection and smart course management over brute force.

2. Tight Fairways and Punishing Hazards

  • Sweeping dunes, extensive natural waste bunkers, and well-placed sand traps border the fairways. Because the landing zones are tighter than typical resort courses, keeping the ball on the short grass is paramount to avoiding costly recovery shots.

3. Small, Fast, and Contoured Greens

  • The greens on the Dunes Course are relatively small and feature tricky slopes and tiers. Protected by deep bunkers and grass depressions, approach shots must be executed with high precision to leave manageable putts on the slick Bentgrass surfaces.

4. The Spectacular 18th Hole Island Green

  • The defining signature of Sueno is the breathtaking finish on the 18th hole. The green is a massive island structure sitting directly within a large lake, fully visible from the resort's hotel rooms and outdoor terraces, creating a high-pressure, stadium-like atmosphere for the final shot.
