General Information

Situated on a stunning stretch of the Mediterranean coastline, Lykia Links Golf Club is a truly unique masterpiece in the Belek region. Opened in 2008 and designed by the celebrated American course architect Perry Dye, this 18-hole championship venue is the first and only genuine links-style course in the entire Mediterranean basin. Inspired by the classic coastal courses of Scotland and Ireland, Lykia Links brings a distinct and exhilarating style of play to Turkey's luxury golf capital.

Unlike the traditional tree-lined parkland courses that characterize much of Belek, Lykia Links embraces the raw, open elements of the sea. Built right upon the sand dunes, the course features rolling fairways, punishing waste bunkers, and undulating greens that blend seamlessly into the natural landscape, presenting a thrilling and sophisticated challenge for accomplished golfers.

Key Features of the Course

1. Authentic Coastal Links Experience

  • Living up to its "links" designation, the course runs parallel to the sea, offering dramatic, uninterrupted ocean views from nearly every hole. The open layout exposes golfers to the natural coastal elements, demanding creative shot-making, such as low-running "punch" shots, to combat the prevailing winds.

2. Signature Dye-Style Dye-abolical Bunkers

  • True to Perry Dye’s signature architectural heritage, the course is heavily guarded by deep, sleeper-faced bunkers and expansive waste areas. These striking sand traps require tactical positioning off the tee and penalize wayward approaches heavily, adding both visual drama and strategic depth to the round.

3. Rolling Fairways and Dunes

  • The fairways are characterized by severe, natural undulations that mirror the coastal waves. Golfers are rarely left with a completely flat stance, meaning that understanding how to play from various slopes and lies is crucial to finding success on this terrain.

4. Challenging, Multi-Tiered Paspalum Greens

  • The putting surfaces are carpeted in high-grade Paspalum grass, which thrives in the salty sea environment and ensures a fast, consistent roll. The greens are notoriously large but heavily guarded, featuring multiple tiers and false fronts that test even the sharpest short game.
