General Information

Located in Belek, Antalya, the Sueno Pines Golf Course opened in 2007 as the premier championship layout within the acclaimed Sueno Hotels golf complex. Designed by the internationally recognized firm PGA Design Consulting, this heavily wooded, resort-style course is crafted to true championship standards. The layout carves a dramatic path through an ancient forest of mature umbrella pines and eucalyptus trees, utilizing the natural rolling coastal dunes to create a visually stunning and physically demanding test of golf.

While its sister layout, the Dunes Course, favors tactical precision over shorter distances, the Pines Course is a true "monster" that demands raw power, exceptional distance control, and absolute accuracy from the tee. It is widely regarded as one of the longest and most challenging courses in the Belek region, making it a frequent host for international tournaments and professional travel groups.

Key Features of the Course

1. True Championship Length and Scale

  • Stretching over 6,400 meters from the back tees, the Pines Course is designed to test low-handicap golfers and professionals. The sweeping, long-par fairways require powerful drives, but are heavily guarded by mature pine trees that punish any wayward shots off the tee.

2. Dramatic Dunes Terrain and Natural Hazards

  • The design cleverly incorporates the rugged sand ridges of Belek's coast. Fairways sweep over natural undulations, creating blind shots and uneven lies. Massive, strategically placed waste bunkers and traditional sand traps line the landing zones, requiring precise ball striking.

3. Large, Undulating Bentgrass Greens

  • Unlike the smaller greens of the Dunes, the Pines features expansive putting surfaces with aggressive tiers and deep contours. Kept at a fast, tour-quality roll, these greens test a golfer's depth perception on approach shots and require a masterful touch with the putter.

4. Grim Water Hazards and Tight Finishes

  • Multiple sweeping lakes come directly into play across the back nine. The technical design forces players to carry water on several crucial approach shots, culminating in a dramatic final stretch where nerve and accuracy are heavily tested under the gaze of the hotel terraces.
